Place the white plastic part on the bottom of your iMac first, and then connect the Hub to the two Thunderbolt connectors on the back of your iMac. Place the USB hub in the two recesses of the white plastic part and slide it to lock the USB hub. This way, your iMac will not be damaged by this USB Hub.
